Custom Inflatable Event Arches: What to Confirm Before Ordering
Choose an arch format, define the opening, organise artwork and confirm the supply scope before ordering a custom inflatable start or finish arch.

A custom inflatable event arch creates a prominent start or finish-line touchpoint. Before choosing colours or placing a logo, define what must fit underneath it, where it will stand and who will handle setup. These decisions help turn a reference image into a quotation that your event team can review.
Choose the shape around the event
Our inflatable finish arch reference gallery includes angular, rectangular, gabled and sculpted formats. Start with the role of the structure: marking a race finish, identifying an entrance or carrying a promotional message.
In the blue-and-white FINISH example shown above, the finish message sits on the crossbar while branding runs vertically along the black legs. This separates the course message from the leg graphics. A different shape needs its own artwork template. Use photographs to explain the look you want, then confirm the proposed structure with the supplier.
Separate the clear opening from the overall size
The clear opening is the space available beneath the arch. The overall dimensions include the inflated legs and crossbar. Record both when preparing your brief.
Mark the proposed position on the venue plan and describe how participants, staff or equipment will pass through it. Include photographs of the surrounding area and any restrictions that the venue team has identified. Ask the supplier to show the proposed dimensions on a drawing so everyone reviews the same measurements.
Plan artwork for each surface
Prepare the event name, start or finish wording, sponsor logos and preferred colour references. Specify which graphics belong on the crossbar and which belong on each leg.
Confirm what should appear on both sides, especially where the approach and camera positions differ. Request the template for the selected arch before preparing final files. Important lettering should be reviewed against seams, curves and other construction details shown in that template. Name different sponsor versions clearly and identify who will approve the proof.
Confirm the operating requirements
The appearance of an arch does not establish how it operates. Ask the supplier to confirm the inflation method, any power requirements, anchoring arrangement and accessories included with the selected structure.
Share these details with the venue and installation team before approval. Confirm who supplies the equipment, who handles setup and what instructions or product documentation will be provided. Operating limits must be confirmed for the actual product and site; a photograph alone is not a basis for deciding whether a structure suits the conditions.
Compare the complete supply scope
Make sure each quotation describes the same deliverables. Check whether it covers the printed arch, required inflation equipment, agreed accessories, packing and delivery arrangements.
Discuss the artwork approval stage and any sample requirements before agreeing the production brief. Provide the delivery destination and required arrival date so the supplier can review the proposed schedule. Packing labels, storage needs and the people receiving the delivery should also be part of the conversation.
Connect the arch to the rest of the venue
An arch should sit within the wider on-site materials plan. Check the position of nearby flags and barrier covers so different graphics have clear roles and the course opening remains defined.
For planning across multiple display formats, see our sports event branding guide.
